Elefant Atta (Whole wheat flour)
Elephant Chapatti Atta is wheat flour used extensively in Indian cuisine to prepare flatbreads like roti, chapati or paratha. It is refined flour with a lot of nutrients.
Health Benefits: Atta contains dietary fiber, protein and several nutrients like magnesium, zinc copper, etc.
Preparation Instructions: To make chapati, mix one cup of flour with a pinch of salt. Add two tablespoons of oil or melted ghee. Add around 1/3 to 2/3 cup of water and knead, forming a thick and elastic dough. Break off small pieces of the dough, form balls. Use a floured rolling pin to roll out the balls of dough until very thin like a tortilla. Cook until the underside has brown spots, about 30 seconds, then flip and cook on the other side. Put on a plate and keep warm while you cook the rest of the chapatis.
