Tamarind Concentrated Paste TRS
Tamarind paste is made from the concentrate of the fruit of the tamarind tree. Used to add a sour and tart flavor to chutneys, curries, sauces, meat dishes, vegetarian dishes, e.g. imli chutney or pad thai.
The taste of tamarind fruit ranges from sweet and spicy to sour and tart. The wide range of flavors comes from the maturity of the tamarind.
-Tamarind is rich in vitamin C and several B vitamins, as well as potassium iron and phosphorus.
-Traditionally, it is also used to help with digestive issues.
-Used in many Asian dishes such as rasam, sambhar, pad thai, etc. Gives dishes a sweet and sour taste.
After opening, store in the refrigerator.
