Tapioca is granules made from cassava roots. Sabudana is the Hindi term for Sago or tapioca pearls. It is easily digestible and full of valuable nutrients for health. It has no discernible taste. During cooking, tapioca pearls swell and become transparent. Tapioca is a great ingredient for preparing various desserts, such as pudding with coconut milk and fruit, or bubble tea - a drink based on tapioca pearls. Due to the high starch content, tapioca is a great thickener for soups or sauces.
