Kala Namak black salt is certainly a unique variety of the mineral. It has a delicate taste, reminiscent of egg, due to the presence of sulfates. It is more bitter than salty. Perfect for vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as scrambled tofu, stuffed eggs or vegan mayonnaise. Its earthy flavor goes perfectly with fish and grilled dishes.

Kala namak is an ingredient of the traditional Indian refreshing drink called Jaljeera. Black salt is widely used in Indian cuisine, mainly in cold dishes, dips, salads, snacks and even fruit dishes. It is an ingredient of chaat masala spice. The more we heat this salt, the stronger its flavor.
