Pearl Millet (Kambu) Dosa Mix Anil
Pearl Millet Dosa Mix is a pancake mix for a healthy breakfast from South Indian cuisine. It can also be served at brunch or even at dinner.
It is an energy-dense food that is packed with iron. Kambu has an 8 times higher iron content than rice. The rich iron content in Kambu helps improve hemoglobin levels in the blood and prevents anemia.
It is also rich in fiber, protein, minerals such as magnesium, zinc, manganese, folic acid, amino acids, lecithin, potassium, vitamin B complex and calcium.
Niacin in vitamin B complex lowers cholesterol, phosphorus plays an important role in the structure of body cells and magnesium is essential for maintaining heart health.
Potassium and magnesium help prevent blood pressure. The phytonutrients in Kambu, called lignin, help fight cancer and reduce the risk of cardiac arrest.
Ingredients: Pearl millet flour (60%), rice flour, urid flour, salt, sodium bicarbonate (INS 500(II)), fenugreek powder.
Preparation:
Mix 500 grams of dosa mix with 1 liter of water and add 1 spoon of oil and stir until the dosa batter level.
Add cumin as desired (there is already salt in the mix. Add salt if needed).
Let the batter rest for 10 minutes.
Heat the dosa pan.
When hot, pour a ladle of batter into the pan and spread it in a circular motion to make a thin dosa.
Grease them lightly with oil.
Now the healthy and tasty dosa is ready.
